Dear Stan Lee

Dear Stan Lee,

I wanted to say thank you. From me and from millions of other fans all over the world. Thank you for your work. It’s not enough to say that I love Marvel, your legacy, your creation. It is so much more than that. I’ve been through some rough times in my life and the comics that I’ve read, the MCU or X-Men films I’ve watched, the animated shows based on the characters you came up with, they really helped me surpass these hard times. Whenever I’d feel down I’d turn to a new Spider-Man comic book where I knew I could always find comfort.

Superheroes taught me lots of lessons and will always be an inspiration to me.

  • Tony Stark taught me that people change and every single one of us can change, as long as we want to;
  • Steve Rogers taught me to never stop fighting, to never lose hope;
  • Bruce Banner taught me to embrace my inner darkness, my inner beast;
  • Thanos taught me that sometimes no one will agree with you, but as long as you believe in yourself you can do anything (and lots of other wise messages);
  • Hawkeye – that family is everything and we need to take care of our loved ones;
  • Thor – that the best way to deal with your problems is to deal with them head on;
  • Thing – it doesn’t matter how you look as long as you are beautiful inside;
  • Natasha Romanova– that a human can make a difference, even among gods;

Superheroes taught me that when it gets tough it’s important to rise above the ashes. Something else I’ve learned that sometimes it’s ok to take a break and maybe even be a bit sad, because life isn’t perfect, for neither of us.

I can honestly keep on going because this universe that you created is truly an amazing thing and it means more than you can probably imagine. Not just to me but to many other people as well. No one really knows what happens in the after life but I hope wherever you are you’re doing well and are treated respectfully.

THANK YOU

Excelsior,
Sincerely,
Your fan
