Listen To Your Body

So there’s most probably been a time in your life when you looked up on the Internet stuff like “how to lose weight”, “healthy life tips”, “how many calories per day should I consume” or something of the sorts. This way you’ve probably come across articles on how much time you should sleep, how much time to drink per day, etc.

The truth is – that “You need to drink 8 glasses or 2L per day of water.” advice you took from someone is not exactly true. The fact that there are many studies that projected different results should give you a certain hint.

This is why there was a study made that told people that there’s no actual limit on how much water per day you should drink and that actually you should just listen to your body. And this is where the main point of this post comes in.

Don’t stress about different numbers. Listen to your body. If you feel hungry – eat something. If your lips or mouth feel dry, drink some water. If you feel tired, take a nap or maybe consider adjusting your sleeping schedule. If next time you carry something heavy, you feel like you can’t face the challenge, consider working out (at least a couple minutes a day – even that can make a difference). Same thing goes with going to the toilet.

What you should research on, though, is symptoms. In general and whenever you feel like something just isn’t right, give it a quick search online and you should be able to find a response to your needs. Now, obviously, not all sources on the Internet are to be trusted, but some are legit. I personally trust webmd and I recommend this one to you.

TL DR:

In a nutshell, your body knows best when it comes to its needs. Listen to it instead of tormenting yourself by trying to stick to different standards.
